We had our Blackbelt test on November 30th

Hello everyone!  — students from Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts in South Surrey, Cloverdale, Tsawwassen, Aldergrove and (soon!) Mission had the most important test of their Martial Arts career. All their hard work over the last few years has come to a head, they showed the Masters, Instructors and Family members the fruit of their labour. We are so proud of you! Now the second chapter of your Martial Arts career begins — Black Belt!
Now down to business, all the techniques from the Blackbelt test start on the mats in your classes. We bow in and start training Taekwondo, and sometimes we can be so excited, we just have to share this excitement with our friends and classmates!
This can be seen, when students are ‘chatty cathy’ or ‘fidget bridget.’ We want you to know we appreciate your enthusiasm! However, when the instructors are talking we must be focused on the task at hand! Because our Martial Art of Taekwondo is so physically involved, an unfocused moment could lead to an injury of our friends, Instructors, or our own bodies!
We are falling to the ground, sparring with other students and kicking targets. All these things can be dangerous if we are not completely focused. Our pressing stories, exciting events from our days and ideas can be expressed to our friends and classmates before or after we bow in or out of Taekwondo Class.
We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to your laser like focus next time we see you on the mats!
