Helping your kids with online training

Hello everyone! We recently completed our very first online belt promotion and pre-test! Our Chang’s Taekwondo students from South Surrey, Cloverdale, Tsawwassen, Aldergrove, and Mission have been proving that perseverance and indomitable spirit will win the day! Keep it up students!
The most involved parents will watch Taekwondo classes to encourage and support their child’s martial arts growth. This applies also to the online Zoom training! Pull up a chair, rest on the sofa while you watch your child training.
How can you help them with their online training? We have a few tips for you!
  • Keep the training area clear; no distractions and a clean room.
  • Get rid of things that will disturb the student’s focus.
  • Explain what a virtual class is; and what is expected of them as a student.
Just like many teachers and professionals are saying, keep a routine and continue a sense of normalcy. How can we apply this to our online training?
  • Wear our Taekwondo dobok (uniform)
  • Sign into the class early and acclimate to the class atmosphere
  • No sitting on the couch or touching objects in the room until the class is over
  • Even though their mic’s are muted, make sure your child answers back “Yes sir!” Or “Yes ma’am!”
