Changs Taekwondo - Yellow Belts & their discipline requirements

Hello everyone! We want to let all our black belt testers know we are extremely proud of them! Their hard work and dedication has truly paid off. Now we have to talk about our

Yellow Belts & their discipline requirements

Changs Taekwondo Yellow Belt

  • Kihap very loud!

  • Kihap literally means sounds of internal energy, which means you need to have a lot of energy when you yell loud in Taekwondo! Really put the effort in and you’ll be rewarded with an amazing kihap.
  • Say: “Yes Sir/Ma’am”

    • Respect is number one in Taekwondo, therefore we refer to everyone as either sir or ma’am. Also, saying yes sir means you understand what your Instructor is asking of you and you will do it!

At Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts we feel after 6 months of training, and after receiving your yellow belt you are comfortable enough to be required to yell loud. Show us your power and your confidence!
