Chang’s TaeKwonDo will have another school in Aldergrove

Hello everyone! We have some very exciting news! Starting in November, Chang’s TaeKwonDo will have another school in Aldergrove! Instructors Jose and Valentina will be teaching at this new school located in the vibrant neighborhood of Aldergrove.

So first of all, where is Aldergrove? Well, Aldergrove is located around the area of 16th avenue and 264th street. This is located on the East side of the Township of Langley. For example, if you were driving from our South Surrey location, you would simply follow 16th Avenue all the way down to 264th Street and find yourself at our newest location!

Instructor Jose is one of our most senior Instructors. Being a 4th Degree Blackbelt in Taekwondo, a 3rd Degree Blackbelt in Ohdokwan, and a 1st Degree Blackbelt in Hapkido. He has been training for more than 15 years at Chang's Taekwondo alone. Instructor Jose and Instructor Valentina built the Cloverdale Location of Chang's Taekwondo Martial Arts into the thriving Academy it is today.

When she is not training with students on the mat, Instructor Valentina helps students academically after school as well. She is more than qualified to help students learn with the creation of the Chang's Learning Center. She is also a senior Instructor and brings great technique to all she trains.

With all the exciting changes going on, Instructor Shawn will become the head instructor in Cloverdale location. Instructor Shawn was a main instructor in main school (South Surrey location) he has a great energy which he brings into each and every class. Instructor Shawn has been taught directly by Master Chang, and worked directly under Master Chang for more than 5 years. He will definitely bring a another great approach to teaching at the Cloverdale school. Master Chang has every confidence with this decision, and we all look forward to seeing both Aldergrove and Cloverdale school growing together!

Many students will be sad to see these Instructors leave both Cloverdale and main school, but they will be at all special events, Belt Promotion Ceremonies and the like. We must all be happy for them and show our love and support as they embark on their new journey.
