Changs Taekwondo - Respect
Hello everyone! With the Annual Chang’s Taekwondo Picnic behind us we are now looking at October and beyond! All students from Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts in South Surrey, Cloverdale, Tsawwassen and Aldergrove let’s get ready for a new word of the month!RespectThe ability to see and celebrate the value in ourselves and others (and behave accordingly)The first things we learn in Martial Arts is Respect! One of the major themes of our classes, especially our White Belt Beginner classes is that Respect is the most important thing. Without respect, how can we train our students and trust them not to abuse their knowledge of the arts. How do we respect our Family, Instructors, and friends? We treat them like they matter. How do you treat someone like they matter? We look in their eyes while they are talking. We listen to what they are talking about, don’t just wait until it’s your turn to speak. LISTEN!We act on things we said we would do, especially for others. We take care of ourselves to respect our body.We take care of our school, to respect other students and the Instructors. It all begins with respecting ourselves. If we can show good respect to ourselves first, we can definitely show good respect to others. How can we take care of ourselves?Brush our teethWash ourselvesEat good foodHave a good sleepAlways be safeWe will be celebrating Thanksgiving with our families on Monday October 10th, so make sure you do the same! There will be no training on that day.**If you wish to receive extra stars then please tell your Instructor: **How you show good respect to yourself? How you show good respect to your Parents? How you show good respect to your friends?
