Strength is a very important

Hello everyone! In the last post we discussed Strength in Taekwondo Martial Arts. Strength is a very important when large power is required to break something or to give enough damage to an opponent. What if we have all this power, but we are too slow! Do you think your opponent will wait for your attack without moving, or will they dodge or block? Speed is another key point to training in Martial Arts. Imagine if you applied your power and strike so fast and hard your opponent could not avoid it?So how do we generate our maximum speed? First you must understand how your body's muscles work. Muscles move very slow when they are tense, whereas muscles move very fast when they are relaxed. Therefore when we punch and kick we must control our muscle tension. When we strike, the muscle must be relaxed to move fast, and at the moment of impact we apply all our strength and power to strike hard. Now your job as a student of Chang's Taekwondo Martial Arts in South Surrey, Cloverdale and Tsawwassen to apply these techniques in every single punch, and every single kick!
