How to enter your Taekwondo Dojang - Changs Taekwondo
How to enter your Taekwondo Dojang properly.Hello everyone! There is isn’t much time until our anxious Black Belt Testers will be gathering to test in front of Grand Master Chang, Master Chang, their Instructors, and family members! We’re very excited for all students from Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts South Surrey, Cloverdale, Tsawwassen and soon to be Aldergrove! Students from all these schools have something in common, we all have to learnHow to enter your Taekwondo Dojang.Coming into the Taekwondo Dojang means a lot to every student, your Instructors and Masters. When you come through your Dojang doors, and announce your presence with your loud “Taekwon!” everyone in the school should hear your energy and respect. These are two reasons we say this as we enter our dojang, and not every school does it. Energy is very important when you come to Taekwondo, we have to leave our day; good or bad outside our walls, and bring an excited attitude into the school. When we enter the school, and say our “Taekwon!” we are also showing good respect. Respect is important in Taekwondo, in fact it is the most important aspect of a students character; More important than speed, strength, flexibility, or stamina. When you say “Taekwon!” You are showing good respect by bowing, and by showing your excited and ready to train.Remember once you come inside to say ‘Hello’ to your Instructors or Master as soon as possible. When you come home, you don’t make some food or watch a TV show before you go say ‘Hello’ to your parents do you? No way! So let’s make sure we don’t do that at our Taekwondo Dojang.**Your mission, should you choose to accept it…1. Say “Taekwon!” very loud and bow properly.2. Say ‘Hello’ to your Instructors and Master when you come to the Dojang right away.3. Say ‘Hello’ to your parents when you come home right away.If you accomplish any, or all of these objectives come talk to your Instructor to receive your extra stars!**
