Citizenship: I am a helpful member of my community Changs Taekwondo
Hello everyone! We hope everyone had a great halloween, and got lots of candy! Remember to only eat a little bit at a time so we don’t get sick. Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts is opening it’s newest location in Aldergrove very soon! It will join the current South Surrey, Cloverdale and Tsawwassen locations in our growing family of Martial Arts schools. This week we also have a brand new Powerful Word of the Month:Citizenship: I am a helpful member of my communitySo what does this mean for our Taekwondo students? Well our mission is to help students grow in Taekwondo, and in all aspects of their lives as well. For example, the leadership skills, confidence and respect all transfer to outside your Taekwondo school as well. Whether it’s leading a group project, avoiding or dealing with bullying or respecting our environment, and our community. There are many communities we can be part of, for example in our Taekwondo school we have to show good respect, keep our school clean, help other students learn by not fooling around. We can also be good members of our community or neighborhood. For example, we can help keep our parks, beaches, and playgrounds safe and clean. There is so much we can do for others, your instructors will explain in more detail during your class.**Your mission, should you choose to accept it…1. When you come to Taekwondo, look around and see if you can make something look more tidy.2. Next time you hear about an opportunity to help in your community, do it!3. Help around the house, the community spirit starts at home with your family and grows from there. If you complete any or all of the objectives, come talk to your instructor and receive your extra stars!**
