Chang's Taekwondo Work of the Week - Team Work
Hello everyone! Spring has officially come, and with it some nice weather for a change! We hope you have enjoyed your spring break so far, and look forwards to seeing all our students and fellow Martial Artists next week! This week we are going to discuss:
Team Work
“Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships.” - Michael Jordan
Though Taekwondo Martial Arts is more seen as an individual sport, we at Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts think of training Taekwondo a little differently. We love team spirit, and we love our students to have a good team attitude. This is why we have our SWAT team, a team made up of students who are willing to help enhance our newer students classes, and help pass on the team spirit to them.
When we train, it’s always better to train with someone else. For example, when training a kick you don’t have much experience with, it’s always better to have a friend hold a kicking pad for you. They not only provide a target to hit, but also cheer you on, motivate you, and can sometimes help improve your technique.
It’s always good to train with classmates because the atmosphere with more people gets more energized, and the trainees get much more excited!
