Changs Taekwondo - Staying Healthy and Warm this holiday season

Hello everyone. As last week showed us we are in the winter season indeed. With the subzero temperatures and snowy conditions at hand, we’d like to take this opportunity to remind students at Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts South Surrey, Cloverdale and Tsawwassen about:

Staying Healthy and Warm this holiday season

Even before we start our day it is important to take care of ourselves! Make sure you have pajamas, so even if you kick off your blankets you can still stay warm. Also remember to use a winter comforter, one that is thick enough to keep you comfortable. When you are home make sure you wear slippers or socks, especially if you have hardwood floors anywhere in your home.

When going outside, be sure to wear enough clothes to cover most of your body. A scarf, hat or toque, gloves, boots that won’t slip easily on ice, and a thick jacket.

Always be careful when crossing a street, but especially when there is ice or snow, it means cars take much more time to stop.

Winter can be fun too! So make sure you go enjoy it! Remember to always let some fresh air in your house, and get outside enjoying the frosty air. Ask your family to go skating, skiing, snowboarding, sledding or even just a hike in the snow!

Stay active and healthy.
