Word of the Month is Patience
Hello everyone! May has been beautiful so far, we hope everyone is applying their sunscreen properly and drinking lots of water! Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts has a new Powerful Word of the Month at our locations in South Surrey, Cloverdale, Tsawwassen and Aldergrove. Our New Word of the Month is Patience.Patience means: waiting without complaining for something you want or need.Whether it’s waiting for everyone to sit down for dinner before eating, waiting for a friend or sibling to return a toy, raising your hand to ask a question, or even waiting your turn to get a drink.. It is very important to wait without complaining. There are many reasons to wait without complaining, for example if you complain your parents will get frustrated, classmates may not get what they need, and if you are not patient while training Taekwondo with us, you could be acting in an unsafe manner.Patience in Martial Arts is also showing good respect. If someone is asking a question or talking in class, we definitely should give them 100% of our attention. When the Instructor is doing a demonstration, should we be talking about our awesome weekend plans?? No way! We should be paying attention and being patient, and showing good respect while we train Taekwondo.**Want extra stars? Here’s how you can get them!1. Tell your Instructors a time when you’ve shown patience.2. Tell your Instructors if it was hard to show patience at that time.3. Tell your Instructors WHY it was hard/not hard to show patience at that time.as always we look forward to hearing from you!**
