Word of the Month - Loyalty
Hello everyone! We have our Chang’s Taekwondo Night in 2 weeks! We are very excited to host everyone at the Bell Centre for Performing Arts. We still have tickets if you are interested, and we hope everyone can make it!Today we have a new topic, it is the word of the month!Loyalty:I'll stand by you.When we think of Respect, we think that someone who is respectful will also be loyal. Loyalty is important in our lives, without loyalty, how can we learn to depend on others, and how can others learn to trust us? Loyalty breeds strong relationships, with our Instructors, our Family, our friends.So how do we build trust and loyalty with our friends?We have to stick up for our friends if someone is being mean, we have to keep our promises to our friends even if it is not convenient for us. We have to be on time, whenever we say we’ll meet up with them, we make it even a bit earlier to be prompt.When our friends tell us a secret, should we keep the secret? There are 2 answers! You can still be loyal if you tell a teacher about a bad secret when someone might get hurt. Also, there is good loyalty by keeping a good secret and showing you are trustworthy.How can we show loyalty and commitment at Taekwondo? We can:
- Come early to class
- Stretch and be ready for when it starts
- Always sign in on the iPad
- Always give 100% in classes
When we don’t give 100% of our energy in class it means we are letting not only ourselves, but our friends and our Instructors. Showing good loyalty in class is very important for everyone.
