Hello everyone! One last week of glorious summer before school begins, we hope it was the best summer ever! Everyone at Chang's Taekwondo Martial Arts in South Surrey, Cloverdale and Tsawwassen are very excited to begin a new school year! On that note, let's talk about:How to go Back to School with a Martial Artist’s Mindset.During the summer maybe it was ok to stay up later than you should, and sleep in more during the mornings. However school is now upon us! Our sleeping schedule will have to change back to bed early and wake up ealy. Sleep is an integral part of having a good, productive day.If however, you still find it hard to wake up.. Who is it that will be ready to wake you up? Who seems to have no option for snooze? Who will make breakfast for you and help you be on time? That's right, Mom and Dad! Therefore we must show good respect, and very good 'Courtesy.' In fact, everyday our students should ask "How can I help?" This will make us better students, better family members, and better community members in general.Lastly, be ready to face new friends and new challenges. Remember when you were first making friends at a new school, feel compassion for new faces. Always try and welcome new members into your group of friends; we don’t want anyone accidentally feeling bullied and not welcome anywhere, at anytime. Showing good courtesy will definitely help you make new friends, friends want to be treated kindly and politely. Courtesy will make your new school year that much more enjoyable for everyone.We hope your new school year is filled with much learning, respect and lots of fun!
