Friendship - What is a good friend - Changs Taekwondo

Hello everyone! We have a new word of the month to talk about at Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts.
Friendship
So let’s talk about what a good friend would:
- always tell the truth
- Share
- Be happy to see you
- Want to be around you
- Help you with anything
- Support you when you’re sad
- Make you happy
So let’s talk about what a bad friend would:
- Lie to you
- Be selfish
- Talk about you behind your back
- Not be there when you need them
- Make you upset
It’s one thing to have friends that are good, but we will also have to deal with friends who will not be so good.
Communication is key, we need to tell our friends when they are doing something we don’t like. By telling them we are helping both parties. Imagine you tell your friend you don’t like something they are doing, they might not have meant it as a bad thing! Now they know.
Now imagine you didn’t like something they were doing, and you didn’t say anything. By bottling up our feelings inside we develop negative feelings towards our friends and feel generally worse ourselves.
We need to communicate with our friends, and we need to be true to ourselves as well.
