Changs Taekwondo - Perseverance
Hello everyone! Chang’s Taekwondo Martial Arts students from South Surrey, Cloverdale, Tsawwassen, Aldergrove and Mission are learning about a new word:
Perseverance
When the going gets tough, I won’t give up!
What are some goals we might have?
Get the next belt!
Join sparring class!
Join the demo team!
Join the leadership team!
Get my blackbelt!
Become an Instructor!
Become a Master!
The list goes on… but we have to know that these goals are sometimes going to feel easy, and sometimes we won’t feel much like chasing them. This is normal!! Make sure we keep moving toward our goal everyday, even if it’s just one inch on some days.
If I promise to throw a pebble in the river every time I cross the bridge.. I will do so no matter how I feel that day. If I happen to miss throwing the pebble on a certain day, I will immediately return and throw in the pebble. I will not throw two pebbles in the next day, that kind of promising will lead to stopping altogether.
**If you would like some extra stars:
- Define Perseverance in your own words
- Tell your Instructor a time you had to persevere
- Tell your Instructor what are your goals for this year
