Chang's Taekwondo - How to show good respect on Remembrance Day

Hello everyone! Hopefully you’ve been rationing your Halloween candy so you have lots left to enjoy! This weeks blog is:How to show good respect on Remembrance DayFirst of all let’s review what Remembrance Day is, it is a day in which we remember soldiers who gave their lives defending their country. Remembrance Day was started after the end of the First World War at the 11th hour, on the 11th day, of the 11th month. During most Remembrance Day ceremonies there is a 2 minute period of silence in respect for those who lost their lives. The poem “In Flander’s Fields” is also read, because it sums up the feeling of loss in a beautiful way.Changs Taekwondo Rememberance DayIt is also customary to wear poppy’s on the left side of the chest (as close to the heart as you can) in honour of those who have given their lives. We hope all Chang’s Taekwondo students from the South Surrey, Cloverdale and Tsawwassen locations show good respect on Remembrance day, as these fallen soldiers deserve our respect.“Lest we Forget”
