Changs Taekwondo - How to go Back to School with a Martial Artist’s Mindset

Hello everyone! Halloween treats are beginning to creep into our local supermarkets… Which can only mean it’s time to go back to school! However this year there seems to be a disturbance.

Therefore we’d like to remind all Chang’s Taekwondo students at the South Surrey, Cloverdale and Tsawwassen locations that we will be hosting Day Camps to help keep students in a disciplined, supervised environment. The Day Camp will run from 9am to 3pm, and will include reading time, schoolwork exercise time, Taekwondo training, games, lunch (to be brought by the students) and perhaps a movie or other fun event to finish with. Our Day Camps have been very popular in the past, and we anticipate them to be so in the future! So sign up quickly to reserve your spot!

Now, onto this week’s blog, which will be about:

Changs Taekwondo Back To School

How to go Back to School with a Martial Artist’s Mindset.

The first thing we’d like to point out is that we’ve spent the whole summer waking up late and going to bed late. We would like to stress how important sleep is. Sleep is an integral part of having a good, productive day. Sleeping enough is showing compassion to yourself, so you can be happy and healthy!

The second thing we would like to stress is how important it is to listen to your Mom and Dad. They take such good care of you, they drive you to school, Taekwondo and so much more.. So take the time to show the proper love and care for them, they deserve it! Help out around the house and help make them feel like you appreciate them.

Lastly, be ready to face new friends and new challenges. Remember when you were first making friends at a new school, feel compassion for new faces. Always try and welcome new members into your group of friends; we don’t want anyone accidentally feeling bullied and not welcome anywhere, at anytime.

We hope your new school year is filled with much learning, respect and lots of fun!
